SIC is proud to announce that our CEO, Mr. Rabeaa Fattal, was a featured speaker at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB)’s 10th Annual Meeting, held in Beijing in June 2025.
Mr. Fattal participated in the panel session titled “Implementation Challenges: Delivering on the Renewable Energy Transition in Emerging Markets,” which brought together leading voices from the infrastructure investment sector to explore the practical obstacles and opportunities in advancing renewable energy projects in emerging markets.
The session was hosted by Mr. Ke Fang and featured distinguished panelists Ms. Pavika Tanveerakasem, Mr. Edvardas Bumsteinas, and Mr. Alok Dayal.
A Platform for Sharing our Impact
Mr. Fattal shared our experience delivering the 186MWp Benban solar PV project in Egypt, developed in partnership with ACCIONA and financed by AIIB and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). He highlighted how SIC engaged with local communities, implemented integrated standards across internal teams and contractors, and established a robust contract management system to mitigate project execution risks.
As we reflect on the success of the AIIB 10th Annual Meeting, SIC remains committed to demonstrating how thoughtful planning, stakeholder engagement, and trusted partnerships can drive real progress in renewable energy across emerging markets.
